The next generation of a family which produced Gr1 winner Rosalind, among other Hurstland Farm-reared standouts, is steadily blazing its own trail.
A weanling Tapit filly out of Rosalind brought $450,000 from Sycamore Hall Thoroughbreds during Book 1 of Keeneland's recently concluded November Sale. The filly is 1/2 to black-type earner Chanceux (War Front) & 2yo Lady Madonna (also by War Front), a $675,000 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga yearling.
Rosalind's full-sister Double Cast, meanwhile, is now a winning producer herself courtesy of recent MSW graduate Cigarette Boat. The 9yo Hurstland resident (video) is also dam of a weanling full-sister to the Kantharos colt.
Sired by the late Broken Vow, Double Cast & Rosalind are daughters of the Theatrical mare Critics Acclaim. They were bred by Hurstland in partnership with James Greene.
