The Last Song recorded her fifth career win on November 16th, leading through the long stretch at Hipódromo Chile in Santiago to prevail by 1/2 length.
Winning, as the Haras Dadinco-bred is concerned, runs in the family. The Van Nistelrooy filly is out Ghostzapping, Ghostzapper mare out of Indy Dreaming (A.P. Indy), full-sister to Gr1 winner and sire Majestic Warrior.
As with other imports in the Dadinco broodmare ban, she also hails from a thriving family, this one developed by the late George Steinbrenner's Kinsman Farm. Ghostzapping's dam Indy Dreaming is out of Dream Supreme (Seeking the Gold), one of the best female sprinters of her era for Kinsman and trainer Bill Mott.
Black-type under Dream Supreme has been forthcoming recently in abundance, including 2024 GSWs Shidabhuti and Where's My Ring. This week also saw the winning debut of Barnes, a $3.2 million yearling by Into Mischief whose dam is out of a full-sister to Indy Dreaming.
